Revoque [Grey Luxe] A/W Preview

Revoque recently held a media brunch to preview their Autumn Winter [Grey Luxe] Collection hosted at The Republic in Norwood. We were treated to a champagne brunch while designer, Danica Ryan took us through her inspiration behind the new collection. What I love about Revoque is that the pieces are very modest yet edgy, so each piece works for people like me who can’t get away with wearing short, revealing and tight (fitted) clothes but can still look ‘cool’! I’m also loving the colour palette and textures of this collection. The grey/blue colour is so unique and mixed with the beige net like fabric…..Loving it!

Also on display at the brunch were some amazing hats (as you will see below) by Milliner; Sylvy Earl. Her creations are truly beautiful, and she is happy to work with you to make sure the head piece is fitted to you, which is such a luxury.

Overall it was a beautiful brunch, featuring amazing clothes, hats and food…..also I just want to say how cool the table decor was, it was so A/W inspired which matched the event perfectly, and we each had a block of wood that was hand cut, which held our name cards, such a personal touch….and a great idea for a dinner party!

Adelaide Fashion Festival: SA Designer Showcase

The SA Designers Showcase was the place to be on Saturday night, held at the Old Adelaide Gaol, the night was filled with fashion, food, fun….and Krispy Kreme’s! The runway featured the latest collections from South Australia’s leading established and emerging designers, including Casper & Pearl, Chelsea Eve, couture+love+madness, Designer Duchess, GeorgiaGuy, Greta Kate, Jaimie Sortino, Liza Emanuele, Namoi, Necia, Malachi Empire, Orbin Collective, Elyse Barker, Laura Jayne The Label, Madeline The Label, Millicent Elizabeth, SCK The Label, Scott & Scarce, Simmone Standing The Label and Willow and Grace.

The emerging designer competition was judged by Tania Debono (Fashion Blogger/Director of The CakeFace and The Writing), Jodi Nash (SA Style Magazine Editor), Tess (Rip it Up Magazine), Mitchell Oakley Smith (Curator of Fashion Icons at the Art Gallery) and Wayne Cooper (Fashion Designer). With so many beautiful pieces in each collection, it would have been a difficult decision for the judges, the designer they chose to win the title of SA’s best emerging designer was Simmone of Simmone Standing The Label (seen below).

Here are some of my favourite looks from the show:

The show was amazing, there is so much talent in Adelaide! After the show guests were treated to delicious bites provided by The Republic and on departure each guest received a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
