Liza Emanuele SS15/16 ‘Blue Sky’ Launch

Liza Emanuele recently launched her SS15/16 collection ‘Blue Sky’ in-store along side her new ‘roomie’ Rosie of Regina sole Queen, hosted by Filip Odzak, it was a great night of fashion and industry appreciation.

Liza celebrated the launch of her new collection by inviting a panel of social media queens, including Kelly Noble of Glam Adelaide, Sonia of Sonia Styling and Jenni of Styling Curvy to talk all about the power of social media today and how it connects people with other people and products.

The Blue Sky collection features a range of styles, cuts, colours and patterns that would suit all body shapes and sizes as well as will get you excited for the warmer months. I highly recommend checking out Liza’s new collection!

Fashion Icons

You may remember an earlier post, where I was excited to announce that the Art Gallery of South Australia would be playing host to Fashion Icons, an exhibition featuring over 90 couture pieces by the biggest designers in the world. Fashion Icons is exclusive to Adelaide, and features pieces from the collection of The Musee Des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.

On the 24th of October, the day before the exhibition opened, I was invited to attend the media preview, where I was able to see the exhibition. It was so amazing to see each piece in person. The fashion showcased ranges from the 17th century to today, and some of these pieces were specially designed for celebrities. We are so lucky to have this exhibition right here in Adelaide. Pamela Golbin, Chief Curator of Fashion Icons (seen below) welcomed us into the exhibition, sharing her knowledge and insight with us, she was so excited to open the exhibition here in Adelaide.

Below are a few photos I took while walking through the exhibition. This is truly heaven for fashion, design and art lovers. The craftsmanship that has gone into each one of these pieces is like no other, and when seeing them as apart of this exhbition, the added videos screening on the walls, and the way in which they have been presented create a story of the years behind these pieces.

The Art Gallery is the place to be right now, with so many events going on as apart of Fashion Icons, including designer talks, fashion movies, and workshops. Check out the event program, and buy an exhibition ticket (they are extremely reasonable!), as it will give you entry into most events.
